Clarifix is breakthrough technology for people with chronic rhinitis. Over 24 million people in the U.S. suffer from chronic rhinitis. Medications only offer short term relief from chronic runny nose with or without congestion. Clarifix is an office based procedure using cryotherapy  under topical anesthesia to limit the nerve response that causes congestion and rhinnorhea.

What is Chronic or Vasomotor Rhinitis?

Chronic rhinitis is inflammation of the nose causing excessive mucus secretion (runny nose), congestion, nasal itching and sneezing. Rhinitis can be either allergic, non-allergic or mixed rhinitis (allergic and non-allergic.) Common symptoms are post nasal drip congestion sneezing and runny nose.

What is Clarifix?

Clarifix is an in office procedure performed under local anesthesia that delivers the freezing cryotherapy onto the nerves that stimulate the production of excess mucus. The cryotherapy interrupts the signals from the out-of-balance nerves that are causing your symptoms. The process takes just a few minutes and will be repeated in the other nostril.

How many treatments will I need?

Typically one treatment is all that is necessary to resolve your symptoms.

What results should I expect? Will I still need Medications?

4 out of 5 patients experience lasting relief from their chronic rhinitis after their Clarifix treatment. The results are not instantaneous so you will be instructed to continue your medications for a short period of time. Results  usually are seen 2-6 weeks after treatment. The procedure should dramatically decrease or completely remove your need for nasal sprays and other medications.
